Solene designs and makes a small number of things each year, studies how they wear, and publishes what it finds. The goal isn't a bigger catalogue — it's objects worth keeping, and knowing why they hold up.

What things are made of.
Canvas
Waxed cotton that stiffens when new and softens where you fold it. Water beads off; stress points darken first.
Leather
Full-grain hide, no pigment or correction. It darkens where your hands touch it most — that's the point.
Hardware
Solid brass with nothing plated over it. It dulls long before it breaks, and polishes back with any cloth.
Made to be repaired, not replaced.
Solene objects are built so someone other than us can fix them. Standard seams, hardware chosen to outlast the fashion of it, construction notes with every piece. Repairability isn't a feature here — it's the brief.
